The "Alliance for Mobility" was founded at the beginning of 2018 by the Ministry of Transport of North Rhine-Westphalia. In addition to Dortmund Airport, more than 60 players from politics, the public sector, business, science, associations and the transport sector have joined in. Their common goal is to make North Rhine-Westphalia's infrastructure fit for the future and to promote digitisation and networking.

Stiftung Kinderglück

Since 2006, the Kinderglück Foundation has been supporting disadvantaged children and young people throughout Germany with a variety of aid projects. The focus of these projects is particularly on the Ruhr region. Dortmund Airport has been a cooperation partner of the foundation since the beginning of 2023 as part of the deposit donation campaign. Passengers can deposit their empty returnable bottles at the airport in specially provided collection boxes. The proceeds flow into the charitable aid measures of the Kinderglück Foundation.
