Just in time for the start of the summer season, the flight offer at Dortmund Airport has been expanded by a new connection by the Hungarian Wizz Air. For the first time, passengers took their seats in the Wizz Air plane in Dortmund today, which will be connecting Dortmund and Varna on the Black Sea twice weekly from now on. As of now, the aircrafts will be heading for Varna every Monday and Friday. On the occasion of the first flight to Varna, Annika Neumann, spokeswoman at Dortmund Airport, welcomed the Wizz Air crew today out on the airport apron and wished everyone a great flight in every regard.
With the introduction of this connection, the offer of tourist destinations has been further expanded at Dortmund Airport. The Golden Sands Beach in Bulgaria – popular amongst vacationers – can be reached by car from the airport in Varna. From there, it only takes about 20 minutes by car until you can feel the sand under your feet.
Varna, the so-called coastal capital of Bulgaria, is the country’s third-largest city with approx. 335,000 inhabitants. During the summer months, it becomes the pivotal centre, the hub for the Bulgarian beach life. Sandy beaches that go on for miles and spa resorts such as the ‘Golden Beach’ attract tourists of all ages seeking sunshine and relaxation.
