Dortmund Airport has announced that the Hungarian airline Wizz Air will be adding another connection to neighbouring Poland at the start of the 2026/2027 winter season. As of 25 October 2026, the low-cost carrier will once again provide flights to the Nicolaus Copernicus Airport in Wrocław, with flights operating four times a week from Dortmund.
Dortmund Airport reflects on a strong first half of 2025. During the first six months, a total of 1,483,459 passengers utilised Dortmund Airport. This marks an increase of nearly 30,000 passengers compared to last year, equating to a modest yet welcome rise of about 2.1 percent.
