The Hungarian airline Wizz Air flew from Dortmund to Rome for the first time this afternoon. Guido Miletic, Head of Airport Services and Marketing, welcomed the crew on the apron.

Passengers can now travel from Dortmund to Rome-Fiumicino Airport (FCO) several times a week. The flights can be already booked for June 2023.

"We are delighted with the new offer, which is what many of our passengers wanted. Wizz Air has thus added another attractive destination to its already wide range of destinations," says Guido Miletic. Wizz Air principally flies from Dortmund to Eastern European destinations such as Katowice, Belgrade and Plovdiv. In Italy, their offer includes Rome and Sicily.

Their latest destination, Rome, the Italian capital, is one of the most popular destinations in Europe and can also be reached very quickly. After a flight time of just under two hours, the Eternal City awaits passengers – known in particular for its historical sights and Italian Dolce Vita lifestyle.

Dortmund Airport wishes you a pleasant journey!
