Pegasus Airlines is preparing for the summer season and is further expanding its flight offering at Dortmund Airport from 1 April 2024. The Turkish low-cost carrier only added the route from Dortmund to Sabiha Gökçen Airport in Istanbul to its route network in mid-December. Due to the high utilisation, the decision has now been made to increase the weekly rotations from the previous three to five.

Pegasus currently operates the connection every Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday. From April onwards, passengers will also be able to travel to the Bosphorus on Wednesdays and Fridays. “Demand far exceeds our expectations. As a result, we’re pleased to be able to respond quickly to the increased demand together with Pegasus,” announces Guido Miletic, Head of Airport Services + Marketing & Sales. “The expanded capacities not only increase flexibility for travel between Dortmund and Istanbul. We are also creating additional planning scope for potential connecting flights,” continues Guido Miletic.

The Turkish metropolis is a popular travel destination for holidaymakers, home and business travellers and also functions as an important economic and tourist hub between Europe and Asia. With an extensive route network, Pegasus provides access to over 130 other destinations in 50 different countries from Istanbul.

The expanded offer can now be booked via Pegaus and the airport website.
