Changes to the Katowice service

Dortmund Airport announces significant changes to the Katowice flight service. From 1 June 2025, Wizz Air will increase the number of weekly flights on the Katowice route to 21.

With the arrival of the summer schedule, Ryanair will cease flights to Katowice from April 2025. This now allows Wizz Air to significantly enhance its presence on the Katowice route. Wizz Air will increase its current two daily flights to three from June 2025.

Katowice has long been a highly popular travel destination. In 2023, Katowice was the most frequented route from Dortmund Airport, attracting 385,000 passengers. Again this year, Katowice remains the top destination during all holiday periods. By increasing Wizz Air's flight frequency, the airport ensures it can continue to meet travellers' high demand while maintaining flexibility and comfort.
