Good news for passengers at Dortmund Airport: From December, Wizz Air will reintegrate Chișinău into its flight schedule. After a pause of over a year, the Hungarian airline is once again establishing a connection to Moldova's capital. Starting 16 December 2024, this Eastern European destination will be available three times a week on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from Dortmund Airport.

Chișinău, boasting over 530,000 residents, is Moldova's largest city and a must-visit for wine enthusiasts. Nearby, you'll find picturesque vineyards, one of the country's renowned wineries, and the world's largest wine cellar. Moreover, this burgeoning city, with its vast green areas, beckons visitors to enjoy leisurely walks. Culture enthusiasts will relish the offerings at the National Art Museum and the National Theatre of Opera and Ballet.

"We are delighted to once again offer flights to Chișinău for our passengers. For many travellers with ties to Moldova and its vicinity, it's pivotal to have direct flights from the Ruhr area to their homeland," says Guido Miletic, Head of Airport Services + Marketing & Sales, discussing the route's renewal. "Furthermore, Chișinău is a true hidden gem for tourists seeking lesser-known yet captivating destinations."

Flights are now available for booking through Wizz Air.
