Wizz Air resumes direct service to Craiova

With today's inaugural flight, the direct service between Dortmund Airport and Craiova International Airport is back on the schedule. At 8:45 a.m., the vibrant pink Airbus departed as planned for the historic region of Oltenia in Romania, further enhancing the already comprehensive network to Eastern Europe.

To suitably commemorate this joyful event, the six-member crew was warmly welcomed on the tarmac. Now, Wizz Air connects travellers departing from Dortmund to the Romanian university town three times a week, on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, in approximately two and a half hours. This positions Dortmund Airport as one of the few airports in Germany offering this route.

Craiova is positioned to the southwest of Bucharest, near the tripoint with Serbia and Bulgaria. This enchanting city is distinguished by its rich history, blending historical architecture with modern influences and key museums. In the lead-up to Christmas, the city's festive market draws a significant number of visitors. Visitors can revel in the city's lush retreats like Nicolae Romanescu Park and the Botanical Garden.
