Alliance for Mobility

The "Alliance for Mobility" was founded at the beginning of 2018 by the Ministry of Transport of North Rhine-Westphalia. In addition to Dortmund Airport, more than 60 players from politics, the public sector, business, science, associations and the transport sector have joined in. Their common goal is to make North Rhine-Westphalia's infrastructure fit for the future and to promote digitisation and networking.

Dortmund tourismus logo

DORTMUNDtourismus is the name of the official tourism marketing organisation of the city of Dortmund. Its principle aim is to raise awareness of Dortmund as a destination and location for conferences and congresses, enable people to make bookings and promote tourism in the city as an economic factor.

The Deutsche ReiseVerband (German Travel Association) is the central representative for the interests of the German travel industry and has been since 1950. The organisation unites all leading German tour operators, medium-sized travel agencies and numerous tourist service providers. Dortmund Airport has been a member of the DRV since 2011.

Ruhr Tourismus GmbH

Its goal is to pool services such as product development, marketing and sales, and to develop an independent touristic regional profile for the Ruhr metropolis. Since April 2009, the company has traded under the name Ruhr Tourismus GmbH.

Stiftung Kinderglück

Since 2006, the Kinderglück Foundation has been supporting disadvantaged children and young people throughout Germany with a variety of aid projects. The focus of these projects is particularly on the Ruhr region. Dortmund Airport has been a cooperation partner of the foundation since the beginning of 2023 as part of the deposit donation campaign. Passengers can deposit their empty returnable bottles at the airport in specially provided collection boxes. The proceeds flow into the charitable aid measures of the Kinderglück Foundation.

Westfallenhallen Dortmund


The Westfalenhallen Dortmund federation of companies has three subsidiaries and operates one of Germany's most well-known event centres. Its Westphalian exhibition centre dominates the trade fair scene in North Rhine-Westphalia, and its modern congress centre is host to over 1,100 regional and national conferences and congresses every year.
