As the gateway to Europe, Dortmund Airport is an important part of the infrastructure of North Rhine-Westphalia, connecting people and creating jobs. However, it is an unavoidable fact that the operation of an airport also has adverse effects on the surrounding area. Dortmund Airport faces up to its responsibility to keep disturbances due to airport operations as minimal as possible.
