Travelling by car

Dortmund Airport is on the eastern edge of the Ruhr area and can be reached quickly and easily from any direction by motorway and main roads. The airport is very close to the A40 (B1) and A44 and you do not need an environmental badge for your car.

The airport's car parks have a total of around 5100 parking spaces. And you can book them online - easy and secure.

Directions

From the western Ruhr area, take the A2 (towards Hanover) as an alternative to the A40, then the B236 (towards Schwerte) and the B1 (towards Unna). Leave by the Holzwickede/Dortmund Airport exit. The access road to the terminal and to the nearby airport parking is only a short distance away.

From Wuppertal, Hagen and the Bergisches Land, take the A1 towards Münster/Bremen. At the Dortmund/Unna motorway intersection, take the A44/B1 towards Dortmund. Leave by the Holzwickede/Dortmund Airport exit. The access road to the terminal and to the nearby airport parking is only a short distance away.

Coming from Münsterland or Kamen/Bergkamen, Dortmund airport can be best reached using the A1 towards Dortmund/Cologne. At the motorway intersection near Dortmund/Unna turn onto the A44/B1 in the direction of Dortmund. Please use the exit "Holzwickede/Dortmund Airport" and from there follow the road entrance to the Terminal and connected car parking facilities, only a few meters away.

From eastern Westphalia and Hamm, take the A2 towards Oberhausen. At the Kamen/Bergkamen motorway intersection, take the A1 towards Dortmund/Cologne and then, at the Dortmund/Unna motorway intersection, take the A44/B1 towards Dortmund. Leave by the Holzwickede/Dortmund Airport exit. The access road to the terminal and to the nearby airport parking is only a short distance away.

From Soester Börde and Unna, take the A44/B1 towards Dortmund. Leave by the Holzwickede/Dortmund Airport exit. The access road to the terminal and to the nearby airport parking is only a short distance away.

From Sauerland, Dortmund airport is best reached using the A445/B63 towards Werl/Hamm. Turn onto the A44/B1 towards Dortmund at Werl junction. Please use the exit "Holzwickede/Dortmund Airport" and from there follow the road entrance to the Terminal and connected car parking facilities, only a few meters away.
