In response to the enormous demand, Wizz Air is already expanding its connections to Warsaw from Dortmund before the service even starts. Beginning in March of 2015 Wizz will start conducting regular flights from Dortmund to Poland’s capital city. But now instead of the original plans for four flights per week to Warsaw’s Chopin Airport, Wizz will be servicing Warsaw every day. This will also increase the appeal for business travellers to visit Poland’s largest and most populous city.
In addition to Warsaw Wizz Air also offers regular flights from Dortmund to the Polish cities of Gdańsk, Katowice und Wrocław as well as numerous other destinations in Central and Eastern Europe. Wizz Air, headquartered in Switzerland, passed the one-million-passengers mark in Dortmund last year for the first time, making Dortmund Wizz’s largest hub. Almost 80% of German Wizz passengers depart from here.
