Dortmund Airport congratulates the Wizz Air crew on their first flight to Iasi
With a new flight connection to the culture capital Iasi, the Hungarian airline Wizz Air is expanding its flight services from Dortmund Airport to Romania. With a two and a half hour flight, travellers can fly three times a week, every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday, from Dortmund Airport to the city located in the north-east of the country near the Romanian-Moldavian border. On Saturday, July 7th, Wizz Air will take off for the first time from Dortmund Airport to its new destination Iasi. Press spokeswoman Annika Neumann welcomed the Wizz Air crew on the airport apron and presented flowers for the start of the route.

Iasi is now the sixth destination in Romania on the destination map of Dortmund Airport. The former capital fascinates visitors with its cultural programme, numerous monuments, museums, churches as well as a theatre, a state opera and a philharmonic hall. In addition to Iasi, Wizz Air also operates low-priced flights to the Romanian cities of Bucharest, Cluj-Napoca, Sibiu, Timisoara and Targu Mures. Flight tickets to Romania can be booked directly via the Dortmund Airport website:
