Wizz Air Announces New Flight Route to Chisinau

Flight tickets can be booked from Dortmund to Moldova

Wizz Air, one of the fastest growing European airlines and the leading low-cost carrier in Central and Eastern Europe, announced a new route from Dortmund to Chisinau in early July. From 16 December 2018, the Hungarian airline Wizz Air will connect Dortmund with the capital of Moldova. Flights from Dortmund to Chisinau will depart on Wednesdays and Sundays.

With a population of more than 530,000, Chisinau is Moldova's largest and most lively city and invites you to take a stroll and relax in one of its many green parks. Located just a few kilometres from Chisinau, are two of the largest wine cellars in the world - ideal for wine lovers.

Wizz Air has been successfully operating flights from Dortmund Airport since 2004. This year alone, the Hungarian airline will introduce a total of eight new routes from the Ruhr Area Airport. Lviv (Ukraine), Poznan (Poland), Kharkiv (Ukraine) and Olsztyn-Mazury (Poland) are all destinations that have already been introduced in the first half of 2018. In the second half of the year, Iasi (Romania), Vienna (Austria), Debrecen (Hungary) and finally Chisinau (Moldova) will also follow as new destinations from Dortmund Airport when flying Wizz Air. The largest passenger airline operating flights from Dortmund Airport is thereby expanding its route network to 27 flights across 13 countries.
