On Easter Sunday, the first passengers took the opportunity to fly Wizz Air to the popular resort of Palanga. The Hungarian airline offers flights to the Baltic Sea resort in Lithuania twice a week, on Sundays and Wednesdays. For the maiden flight, the crew were greeted on the apron by Guido Miletic, Head of Marketing & Sales at Dortmund Airport, and Davina Ungruhe, Press Spokeswoman at Dortmund Airport.
“We are delighted to be able to offer our passengers Palanga, a popular but not overcrowded Baltic Sea destination. In doing so, we are responding to demand in the region and extending our summer range”, says Guido Miletic.
Palanga has made a name for itself as a popular spa and holiday resort. Holidaymakers can expect a large selection of hotels, camping grounds and a long beach promenade with a pier in the city with around 17,000 inhabitants. Numerous restaurants, cafes and nightclubs enliven the holiday destination, which is known above all for its white sandy beaches, dunes and clean air.
