Starting 11 July, travellers can fly to Larnaca from Dortmund Airport. The Hungarian airline Wizz Air will fly to the city in Cyprus three times a week. Planes take off to the Eastern Mediterranean on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays.

Guido Miletic, Head of Marketing & Sales at Dortmund Airport, is pleased with the airline’s announcement: “The fact that Wizz Air is not only holding on at the Dortmund location during the Corona pandemic, but also strengthening its presence with a new route, gives us every reason to be confident about the future. The new route is also a good signal for our passengers: Companies in the tourism market are doing their best to make holidays possible in 2020. Tourists and ‘sun worshipers’ especially have an attractive, new option with Larnaka.”

Beach holidays and city trips can be combined in an ideal way in Larnaka. The port city in the southeast of the Mediterranean island attracts tourists with its fine sandy beaches and inviting promenades. Divers and windsurfers also get their money’s worth. Larnaka can also look back on a long and exciting history that has left its mark on the city to this day. For those interested in culture, the magnificent Agios Lazaros Church and the Cyclopean Wall are interesting excursion destinations.
