The first flight from Dortmund to Zagreb was Friday 3rd September. The Irish airline Ryanair is now serving the Croatian capital every Monday and Friday. Ryanair thus consolidates its position as the third biggest airline in Dortmund.
The number of routes to the popular holiday destination has increased. Following Split, Zagreb is now the second city in Croatia which passengers can fly to directly from Dortmund Airport. The city impresses with its medieval charm, countless cafés and its attractive surroundings such as Medvednica mountain. Perfect not only for hiking, but also for skiing in winter.
This is the eighth destination from Dortmund for Ryanair. Guido Miletic, Head of Airport Services and Marketing, is delighted with the growth of the airline in Dortmund, “In recent years, Ryanair has gradually expanded its schedule from Dortmund. Passengers can now choose from a wide variety of destinations.” In addition to Zagreb, Ryanair flies to classic holiday destinations such as Mallorca, Thessaloniki and Porto, as well as cities that are well worth visiting like Kraków and Vienna. The flight schedule also includes important economic centres in Katowice and London.
