The sun sparkles on the surface of the water. A gondola glides over the canal, Italian music is playing in the background. Past the countless bridges and famoussights, such as the Doge’s palace. Of course, we are describing perhaps the most famous city on water: Venice. Starting this summer, passengers can fly direct from Dortmund to the popular holiday destination.

The last time they had this opportunity was in 2004. Now Eurowings is offering direct flights to the Italian city twice a week form 4 June until 29 October. Passengers can fly south by Airbus A320 every Wednesday and Saturday. Flights are already bookable now. “We are delighted about the new travel destination. It complements our varied offer for our passengers in the summer season,” says CEO Ludger van Bebber.
