The Hungarian airline Wizz Air will be flying three times a week from Dortmund to Rome-Fiumicino (FCO) from 5 September. Travellers will arrive at the Eternal City every Monday, Wednesday and Friday – after a flight time of just under two hours. Alongside Bari and Catania (Sicily), Rome is now the third destination in Italy that Wizz Air offers from Dortmund.

"In addition to the recently added destination Venice, which is offered by Eurowings, we are now pleased to welcome the Italian capital to our flight schedule," adds Guido Miletic, Head of Airport Services and Marketing at Dortmund Airport. . "During the Corona pandemic, many people felt a pent-up urge to travel. So it is all the nicer that we can offer our customers a varied and exciting range of services just at the right time.”

Flights to Rome are already bookable – connections are available until the end of March 2023
