The auditing company PricewaterhouseCoopers GmbH confirmed the 2022 annual result, a negative figure of 8.5 million euros. This corresponds to an improvement compared to the 2021 annual result of 7.1 million euros. With 1.4 million euros, for the first time Dortmund Airport also achieved the positive operating result required by the EU guidelines (annual result excluding depreciation, interest and sovereign costs), thus fulfilling the obligations of the state aid guidelines to achieve a balanced operating result by 2024, which have been in force since April, earlier than planned.
In 2022, around 2.6 million passengers used Dortmund Airport for their journey (an increase of 53 percent)
