Information Champions League weekend

Terminal only open to passengers

Dortmund airport wichtiger hinweis gelb

On the first weekend of June, everything in Dortmund will be focused on the Champions League final. Dortmund Airport is pleased to welcome BVB from London. In accordance with the recommendations of the security authorities, which were explained in the press release of the City of Dortmund dated 14 May 2024, Dortmund Airport also strongly advises against traveling to the airport to welcome the team as part of celebrations. Regardless of the outcome of the final, the team will board the team bus immediately after landing and will not be visible to fans.

Despite potential celebrations, smooth passenger processing and the safety of passengers and employees are our highest priority. To ensure this, access to the airport will be strictly regulated on 2 June 2024. As a precautionary measure, access to the terminal will be reserved exclusively for passengers and their accompanying persons between 11:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. As a result, access to the terminal area is already being controlled and access is prohibited to persons without a valid flight ticket.

Fans are instead being asked to secure a good spot along the approximately four-kilometre-long motorcade route in the Dortmund city center in good time. The start is scheduled for 4:09 p.m. and will begin with a lap of honour around Borsigplatz. Travelers are advised to allow sufficient time to get to the airport.

Dortmund Airport wishes BVB great success and everyone cheering for the team a great weekend.
