Dortmund Airport is delighted to announce a new partner, the Romanian airline DAN AIR. From 18 December 2024, DAN AIR will connect Dortmund with Bacău in northeastern Romania twice a week, on Wednesdays and Sundays. The addition of the Romanian airline further increases the choice of airlines operating at Dortmund Airport, meaning that in future there will be a total of seven different airlines to choose from.

“The demand for Romanian destinations remains high. With Bacău, we are offering another destination that is highly attractive both for domestic travellers and tourists,” explains Guido Miletic, Head of Airport Services + Marketing & Sales. With the addition of the route, Dortmund Airport now has a total of eight Romanian destinations on its flight schedule.

As one of the largest cities in the Moldova region, Bacău is located on the banks of the Bistrița River and has a population of around 150,000. The city is considered an important economic and cultural hub in the region with remarkable historic buildings, idyllic landscapes and a lively art and cultural scene.

Flights can now be booked through DAN AIR and the airport website.
